In March 2024, we planted sugarcane in a section of our private farm that had been plowed and prepared for some time. It's the first attempt of its kind at MY LODGE. I heard that, due to a sugar shortage for some time after the WWⅡ, in Naoshima island people used to have a lot of sugarcane planted. I wonder if it will grow smoothly until harvest? Aiming for the day when we can distill our own rum, we hope to expand our sugarcane farm.
